Brand

Roche Bobois, a pioneer in contemporary furniture design, stands as a global force since its inception in Paris, France in 1960. With a rich history, the brand has become synonymous with innovative and luxurious design, all made in Europe. Crafting two new collections a year, much like the fashion industry, Roche Bobois caters to residential homes but also hospitality markets.

Designer

Born in Udine, Italy, in 1952, Enrico Franzolini is a distinguished architect and designer whose work seamlessly blends artistic expression with functional design. He pursued architectural studies in Florence and Venice, culminating in his graduation from the Università di Venezia in 1979. Franzolini's early foray into the arts was marked by his participation in the 36th Venice Biennale in 1972, where he showcased glass pieces produced in collaboration with the renowned Livio Seguso glassworks of Murano.

In 1981, Franzolini established his own studio in Udine, embarking on a multifaceted career that encompasses architecture, industrial design, and interior design. His architectural projects are noted for their minimalist aesthetic and have been featured in esteemed publications such as Domus, Modo, Abitare, and Interni. Notable architectural works include the Calligaris headquarters in Manzano, the R.I.F. Office Building, and the Mercedes and Chrysler Jeep Showroom Buildings in Udine and Pordenone.

Rode's designs are known for their harmonious blend of functionality and artistic expression, often characterized by smooth materials and free-flowing lines that give his creations a poetic tactile quality. His work has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the "Chair of the Year" at the International Chair Show Promosedia for his "Okazu" chair in 2004.

He has collaborated with renowned international brands such as Roche Bobois, Cantori, and Tonin Casa, contributing iconic pieces like the Furtif desk and the Chabada chair. His designs continue to inspire and influence the world of contemporary furniture.

About Me

Designed by Enrico Franzolini, this collection of chairs is fully upholstered in performance fabric, with a soft, continuous form that gracefully wraps around the backrest and armrests, flowing seamlessly down to the chrome-plated feet, subtly reminiscent of high heels. The result is a silhouette that is both inviting and elegant.

A generously padded seat and ergonomic, enveloping backrest offer exceptional comfort, while the chair’s organic yet solid shape evokes both softness and reassuring stability.
