Designer

Sacha Lakic, a self-made design virtuoso born in Belgrade, Serbia, in 1964, has forged an illustrious career primarily in Paris. His innovative work spans the realms of automotive, furniture, and product design, characterized by a fusion of speed, future technologies, and unadorned sculptural elegance. Lakic's diverse portfolio includes motorcycles, cars, furniture, watches, high-tech accessories, scooters, and bicycles.

Early in his career, Lakic interned at Peugeot in 1985 and later became the head of motorcycle design at MBK-Yamaha. His journey encompasses collaborations with brands like Bell & Ross (watches), Roche Bobois (furniture), Voxan (motorcycles), Peugeot (cars), and Venturi (electric cars). He also has created his own custom made motorcycle brand: "Black Track". Lakic's influence extends beyond automobiles; his multidisciplinary approach has garnered numerous awards, including the "Good Design Award" for the Venturi Eclectic car, the "Best Design" award for the Venturi Volage car, the "Compasso d'Oro" prize in Rome for the "Onda" furniture line, and the Luxembourg Design Gold award in 2015 for his acclaimed "Bubble" sofa, which garnered attention on TikTok, reaching 150 million views, thanks to a local New York influencer.

His notable achievements reflect his dedication to pushing the boundaries of design, creating timeless and impactful pieces that transcend industries and space. Lakic's latest endeavor involves crafting a rover for Californian-based space company "Astrolab Inc," scheduled to land on the moon in 2026 in collaboration with SpaceX and NASA, showcasing his visionary design prowess in the realm of space exploration.
